Below are the steps for a regular service retirement
- Decide when you expect to retire
- Contact the ("fb88PERS")
- 6 to 12 months before you expect to retire
- Choose a retirement date
- Complete your completed Retirement Application and file it with fb88PERS at least 3 months before you retirement date
- Set up for your fb88PERS pension & benefit payments.
- You may receive a preliminary benefit while your fb88PERS application is being reviewed
- If you plan to return to work after retirement, please check the requirements on the
- Eligibility to continue Basic Group Life Insurance
- Contact your local Social Security Administration Office
