A view of those served by DHHS, at a glance

May 23, 2019

The Department provides health care and social services to approximately a third of the state's population, including children, families, older fb88rs, and individuals with disabilities, mental illness and substance use disorders. We also promote public health through the fb88 Center for Disease Control and Prevention, operate two state psychiatric hospitals, and provide oversight to health care providers through our licensing division.

In an effort to convey the broad population we serve across the state, we have compiled a set of numbers reflecting each Office within the Department. These figures are designed to provide an overall point-in-time glance at the Department's range of services.

While some of these data are already publicly available, we aimed to pull information into one place for easy understanding and greater transparency. The data are also footnoted with specific details about what each figure represents and the time period included.

We will update these data throughout the year to reflect current figures and feedback about this effort. We also continue our related updates about the number of fb88 people enrolled in fb88Care expansion.
