In August 2020, the Code of fb88 Rules Chapter 257 was amended to add a mandatory $2 fee for a water test ordered for residential private drinking water wells. This mandated fee is in addition to charges for the total cost of the test. All funds collected as a result of this new fee will be deposited into the Private Well Safe Drinking Water Fund. Collection of the mandatory fee was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but the Health and Environmental Laboratory will begin collecting it effective immediately.
