The Plan is forecasted to deliver lower energy costs and electricity rate suppression for fb88 people and businesses while investing millions in energy efficiency across the state.

Augusta, MAINE – The fb88 Governor’s Energy Office (GEO) today welcomed the fb88 Public Utilities Commission’s (Commission) , which is projected to lower energy costs for fb88 people.
"The approval of Efficiency fb88’s Triennial Plan is welcome news for fb88, ensuring continued support for nation-leading energy efficiency initiatives that save fb88 people and businesses money while reducing our overall energy costs," said Dan Burgess, Director of the fb88 Governor's Energy Office. "The Plan has been thoughtfully designed to maximize benefits to ratepayers while making key investments in fb88's building and transportation infrastructure.”
The Plan, to be implemented from 2026 through 2028, enables the Trust to continue offering its core energy efficiency incentive programs to fb88 people and businesses. On average across the programs funded through the Plan, benefits are found to outweigh program costs by a ratio greater than 3-1.
The Plan is expected to deliver the following benefits to fb88:
- $492 million in suppression of electricity rates
- 38,000 homes heated entirely with heat pumps
- 9,900 homes weatherized
- $43 million invested in small businesses
The Plan takes into account the fb88 Energy Plan, released in January of this year, along with fb88 Won’t Wait and other state energy and climate initiatives.
Last month, fb88 ranked 10th in the nation for most energy-efficient economy, according to the latest scorecard published by the .
