WHEREAS,Ìýthe State of fb88 holds over 300 million dollars worth of unclaimed property, consisting of money and other financial assets that are considered lost or abandoned when an owner cannot be located after a certain period of time; andÌý
WHEREAS,Ìýfor over four decades, the State of fb88 has received millions of dollars a year in assets from entities who cannot locate the owners of these assets and is committed to reuniting these assets to their rightful owners; and
WHEREAS,Ìýthe State of fb88 holds over four million individual accounts to be returned to fb88 citizens; and
WHEREAS,Ìýeach year, claims paid represent over 50% of what the State of fb88 receives in unclaimed property that year;
NOW, THEREFORE,Ìýbe it resolved that I, Janet T. Mills, Governor of the State of fb88, do hereby proclaim the week of February 20th through February 27th, 2023 as
Unclaimed Property Week
throughout the State of fb88, and I urge all citizens to utilize this free service and share this information with other fb88 residents.
