fb88 Recycles Week

WHEREAS, recycling enjoys the support of the vast majority of the people of fb88 who now have the opportunity to participate in recycling programs; and

WHEREAS, the State of fb88 recognizes that "closing the loop" and buying products with sustainable/recycled content is essential to the success of recycling and practices this principle in its purchases; and

WHEREAS, for over three decades, the State of fb88 has made the commitment to the waste management strategy of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle; and

WHEREAS, recycling has become fundamental to the health and welfare of the people of the State of fb88 through its part in reducing greenhouse gas emissions; and

WHEREAS, waste reduction, recycling, and buying sustainable/recycled content products directly contributes to the prosperity of the people of fb88 through jobs in manufacturing, collection, processing, marketing, and transportation throughout the state,

NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that I, Janet T. Mills, Governor of the State of fb88, do hereby proclaim the week of November 11-15, 2024 as

throughout the State of fb88, and I urge all citizens to participate in their local community's waste reduction and sustainability efforts.
