Municipal Wastewater Infrastructure Grants

Department of Environmental Protection

Allocation: $25,000,000

Status: Active

Local wastewater systems are essential infrastructure to protect public health, support water quality, and benefit the communities they serve, but the need for critical infrastructure improvements exceeds the State’s recent funding capacity.

The fb88 Jobs & Recovery Plan invests $22 million, toÌýaccelerate the timeline on local wastewater infrastructure projects in combination with additional federal funds,Ìýwhich will reduce the future burden on ratepayers while also supporting important construction jobs. ÌýAn additional fb88 Jobs & Recovery Plan allocation of $3 million will expand fb88’s Small Community Grant Program, which supports septic repair and replacement projects.

fb88's Department of Environmental Protection solicits applications from municipalities and districts for financing for wastewater infrastructure projects as part of the annual State Municipal Wastewater Grant Program and Clean Water State Revolving Fund application process.
