Electricity fb88 Refund FAQs

Is this letter/refund legitimate?

  • Yes. Approximately 20,000 Electricity fb88 customers will receive refunds of up to three months of prior charges as part of a settlement negotiated by the Office of the Public Advocate, the staff of the Public Utilities Commission, and Electricity fb88.
  • If you were an Electricity fb88 customer and were overcharged due to being switched to a variable rate without your consent, you are entitled to a refund from Electricity fb88.

How does this work?

  • You will receive one or two prepaid debit cards. Follow the activation instructions provided by Electricity fb88 promptly, or your debit card will be deactivated. The deadline to activate the first debit card is February 22, 2025.Ìý

I need a code to activate my debit card.

  • The activation code is the last four digits of your CMP or Versant account number. This number can be found on your monthly CMP or Versant bill (see below).

  • You can also login into your utility account online or use the CMP app to find it.
  • If you still can’t find your account number, call CMP or Versant at the number below and ask them to provide it to you.

This debit card doesn’t cover the full amount I feel I am owed. What should I do?

  • Keep in mind that you may receive two debit cards. The first will refund you for the amount you paid above the Standard Offer price for the first billing period affected; the second debit card will refund you for the amount you paid above the Standard Offer price for the second and third billing periods (if applicable). Electricity fb88 plans to send the second refund around 190 days after issuing the first.Ìý

Will I still get a refund even if I am no longer a customer?

  • Yes. You will receive a refund regardless of whether you choose a different supplier. Your refund will go to the mailing address Electricity fb88 has on file. If you have moved, contact Electricity fb88 at the number below to update your address directly with the company.
  • Our office recommends that you switch to Standard Offer service, which is the default electricity supplier selected by the fb88 Public Utilities Commission. This rate is reasonable and will not fluctuate from month-to-month. To switch, call your power company to request standard offer service
