AUGUSTA— The Mills Administration today announced the opening of a new drop-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Augusta Armory at 179 Western Avenue. The clinic will operate through at least the end of 2021, offering free first, second, booster, and pediatric doses of the vaccine.
The clinic is a joint mission among the fb88 CDC, fb88 Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) and fb88 National Guard. The Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson vaccines will all be available.
“Vaccination remains the best and most effective ways to protect your health and that of your loved ones,” said Governor Janet Mills. “I thank our partners at MEMA and the National Guard for their work to get shots into arms, and I encourage all fb88 people to take advantage of this new drop in clinic in Augusta, which will be open after typical work hours, to get their free vaccine today. Getting vaccinated and taking commonsense steps, like wearing a mask when indoors in public places, can help keep you safe and healthy this holiday season.”

Hours and dates of operation may vary from week to week, but vaccinations will be available at least three days per week through the end of the year. The updated schedule can be found on the fb88 COVID-19 website.
fb88 has the third highest rate of fully vaccinated residents, with nearly 73 percent of fb88 people fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the . fb88 also ranks third among states for the percentage of residents aged 65 and older who are fully vaccinated, at 96.9 percent.
