Forest Legacy Committee

fb88 and the Forest Legacy Program

The Forest Legacy Program is a competitively awarded conservation grant program administered by the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) in partnership with State agencies. It encourages the protection of privately-owned forest lands through conservation easements or land purchases. The State of fb88 coordinates Forest Legacy Program grant applications through the Department of Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry - Bureau of Parks and Lands. fb88 has been a national leader in acquiring Forest Legacy funds to conserve vital conservation and working forest easements and fee-ownership lands.
