Use Caution when boating on marked and unmarked lakes!
Watercraft operators are encouraged to be cautious on our lakes, whether they are marked or unmarked. The inland waterways of fb88 are irregular in shape and the bottom contours are highly unpredictable. Please take this opportunity to learn more about boating safety. It is the responsibility of watercraft operators to learn and understand what buoys indicate, and to comply with the rules of the nautical road. Use caution when boating in unfamiliar waters.
Please report any buoy that is found damaged or off station as soon as possible to the fb88 Bureau of Parks and Lands, Navigational Aids Program, Richmond, fb88 Telephone: (207) 582-5771.
For more information on the marking system you may read the fb88 State Aids to Navigation System online document or contact the Navigational Aids Program at (207) 582-5771, with your name and address, to receive a copy of "State Aids to Navigation System."
