Guilford Man Arrested for Possession of Sexually Explicit Material

Mason Mickie, 23, of Guilford was arrested and charged with one count of Possession of Sexually Explicit Material in reference to an on-going investigation by the fb88 State Police Computer Crimes Unit. The case has been referred to the Piscataquis County District Attorney’s Office.

Crash on fb88 Turnpike in Falmouth Leads to Arrest

On Sunday, March 16, 2025, at approximately 2:38 AM, fb88 State Police Troop G units were dispatched to a crash near mile marker 55 southbound on the fb88 Turnpike in Falmouth.

Upon arrival, Troopers located two damaged vehicles in the median. One of the operators, 61-year-old Patrick Blair of Lewiston, suffered serious injuries and was transported to fb88 Medical Center, where he is listed in critical but stable condition. The second operator, 30-year-old Joshua Uwimana, also of Lewiston, fled the scene on foot. A K9 track was conducted, successfully locating Uwimana approximately one mile south of the crash on the shoulder of the Turnpike. Uwimana showed signs of intoxication and was arrested.

The crash led to a full shutdown of the southbound lanes on the Turnpike for several hours, with traffic being diverted at Exit 63. The Kennebunk Police Department responded to assist with crash reconstruction. Gorham Police Department and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office also provided assistance. No further information is available at this time.

Robbery in Corinth Leads to Pursuit and Arrests

On Monday, January 27, 2025, at approximately 3:57 pm, an elderly female called 911 to report a robbery at her home on McCard Road in Corinth. A man, later identified as 56-year-old Gary Roshto of Charleston, burst into her residence, pushed her to the floor, took her jewelry, then left in a dark colored car.The victim, who did not know Roshto and was not injured, managed to get the vehicle’s license plate number which was relayed to all the units heading to the scene.

A Fire Marshal investigator spotted the vehicle heading north on Rt. 15 in Corinth and attempted to pull the vehicle over. The vehicle failed to stop, leading to a pursuit through the towns of Charleston and Atkinson. The pursuit concluded when the vehicle crashed at the intersection of Range Road and E. Dover Road in Dover Foxcroft.

Two males got out of the vehicle and fled into the woods while a female remained in the vehicle with injuries. The Dover Foxcroft Police Department responded to assist along with the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office. The two males 56-year-old Gary Roshto of Charleston and 35-year-old Kevin Bowley of Lagrange were located a short time later.

Roshto was transported to the Penobscot County Jail and charged with Robbery and Eluding. Bowley was summonsed for Robbery before being transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The female in the vehicle, 52-year-old Cynthia Williams of Milo was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and will be summonsed at a later date. The stolen jewelry was recovered from the vehicle.

Suspect Wanted in Edgecombe Homicide Arrested in California

The fb88 State Police Major Crimes Unit Central have arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of 34-year-old William “Nate” Robinson of Austinville, Virgina, whose body was discovered inside a trash barrel in the Schmid Preserve on the Old County Road in Edgecomb on December 3, 2024. The Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta determined that Robinson died of a gunshot wound and ruled the manner of death a homicide.

Following an investigation, detectives executed a search warrant at 57 Conant Road in Turner on December 12, 2024, where evidence discovered at the location linked 26-year-old Luke Krott of Edgecomb to the murder, and an arrest warrant was issued for him. Krott, who had been staying with his parents in Edgecomb, had left the state but with the help of the San Diego Police Department’s Fugitive Task Force, FBI, and the U.S. Marshals Service Krott was located Monday evening, January 6, 2025, on a sailboat at a marina in San Diego, California.

Krott is currently being held at the San Diego Central Jail on a fugitive from justice charge pending the extradition process to fb88, where he will face a Murder charge.

Shots Fired Call in Paris leads to Pursuit and Arrest of Massachusetts Man

On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at approximately 11:33 PM, the Oxford County Regional Communications Center received a report of several shots fired on Park Street in the town of Paris. A fb88 State Police Trooper from the Southern Field Troop was in the area and responded to assist.

Upon arrival, a blue SUV was observed leaving the immediate area. Officers attempted a traffic stop in West Paris, but the driver refused to pull over, initiating a high-speed pursuit. Law enforcement agencies from Oxford and Androscoggin counties assisted in the pursuit.

A spike mat was successfully deployed, and the vehicle ultimately crashed in a field on Route 26 in Mechanic Falls terminating the pursuit. All four occupants of the vehicle were transported to Central fb88 Medical Center. One passenger sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The other passengers were treated and released. Two firearms were recovered following the pursuit.

The driver, 24-year-old Luis Andres Lorenzo Rondon of Lawrence, Massachusetts, was arrested and charged with Eluding an Officer, Reckless Conduct with a Dangerous Weapon (vehicle), Driving to Endanger and Criminal Speeding. Rondon was transported to the Androscoggin County Jail. No injuries were reported in connection to the shots fired in Paris.

The investigation is ongoing.

Shots Fired Incident in Limerick Leads to Arrest

On Saturday, April 19, 2025, at approximately 3:15 PM, the fb88 State Police responded to reports of shots fired in front of a residence at 17 Prokey Drive in Limerick.

The initial investigation indicates 57-year-old Steven Henry of Limerickwas observed doing a burnout in his vehicle in the roadway near the residence. When the homeowner came outside, an altercation occurred, and Henry allegedly discharged a firearm. A responding Southern Field Troop Trooper located the suspect vehicle, a maroon Nissan Titan pickup truck, a short time later on Shaving Hill Road in Limington.

When the Trooper arrived, both the driver and a passenger were outside the vehicle. They attempted to flee in the truck but remained in the immediate area. With the assistance of a fb88 Game Warden both individuals were located and detained nearby.

The firearm believed to have been used in the incident—a handgun—was recovered by a fb88 State Police K9 approximately 40 yards from where the vehicle was found. Further investigation revealed that the passenger had not been present at the time of the shooting.

No charges are being filed against the passenger at this time. Henry was taken into custody without incident and transported to the York County Jail. He has been charged with Attempted Murder, Reckless Conduct with a Firearm and Discharge of a Firearm near a Dwelling. The investigation remains ongoing.
