In 2020, the fb88 Department of Education (DOE) was awarded $16.9 million from theÌý. fb88 was one of 11 States to receive funding. fb88’s project, Rethinking Responsive Education Ventures (RREV) offers a multi-pronged solution with a primary goal of generating innovative remote learning models to provide equitable access to high quality remote learning opportunities for all students.
RREV provided statewide resources and supports through professional development, coursework, and guided engagement in effective use of design processes to empower educators and school leaders as authentic research and development professionals. As new remote learning models were designed and piloted, they were made widely available both through our website and through our open-source community of practice platform ().
Over the course of the 4 years of the Federal grant program, RREV was able to fund five different award rounds - ultimately supporting 45 different innovative pilots. These pilots came from all nine of our Superintendent regions - which encompass all fb88 counties. Below you can see the Superintendent Regions and a map of all awarded pilots by award round.
