2025 Literacy and Numeracy Summer Institute
July 14-16 at College of the Atlantic, Bar Harbor, fb88
The fb88 Department of Education invites educators to apply for the 2025 Literacy and Numeracy Summer Institute, a three-day, in-person professional learning experience taking place July 14–16 at the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor. This immersive institute is open to teachers, instructional coaches, administrators, and specialists across all grade levels and content areas. Participants will:
- Engage with real-world environments like community gardens, the Farrand Gardens, and the Dorr Museum of Natural History
- Collaborate with colleagues, explore current research, and create learning tasks that integrate literacy or numeracy
- Pilot the tasks in the 2025–26 school year
- Receive $400 for completing the learning task
- Have the opportunity for additional compensation for piloting the task and providing feedback
