The Early Learning Team promotes the well-being of the whole child to support children’s learning opportunities from birth through the elementary grades.
fb88 Online Open-Source Education (MOOSE)
MOOSE providesÌýfree, optional resourcesÌýfor PreK-12 educators aligned to the fb88 Learning Results. Modules are created in topic areas and themesÌýidentified as areas of need by fb88 educators.
Interdisciplinary Education
The Interdisciplinary Instruction team’s vision is to empower students with dispositions, conceptual understandings, skills, and knowledge to tackle current and future challenges. The II team believes this can be achieved through conceptual transfer across disciplines, engagement, connections with the community, authentic learning experiences, and a whole-child approach to learning.

Multilingual Learners
fb88 is home to students and families who speak a multitude of different languagesÌýin their homes and communities.Ìý Multilingual Learners are bilingual and multilingual students who are in the process of learning English. We support public schools in providing high-quality, effective programs for multilingual learners.
Learning Through Technology
Equitable access to the technology and skill development needed to create and problem-solve with it are critical as we work to ensure students are prepared for the 21stÌýCentury. The Department supports both the acquisition of technology and professional learning related to its use for effective teaching and learning.
Math Pathways
fb88 DOE, in collaboration with the fb88 Community College System and the University of fb88 System, is developing math pathways that emphasize a student-centered approach, alignment with career goals, and flexibility in course selection. We aim to enhance students' success in mathematics education, ensuring readiness for college and career endeavors.

MTSS is defined as a comprehensive framework designed to address the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of each student in the most inclusive and equitable learning environment.
Teacher Fellowship Program
The Teacher Leader Fellows provide educators across fb88 with weekly updates on resources and materials, host monthly professional learning opportunities, and maintain webpages with rich and informative content.
Wabanaki Studies
Through a continuing collaborative effort between the Wabanaki nations, Indigenous and non-Indigenous educators, districts, and other organizations, we’ve created materials to support PK-12 educators in integrating Wabanaki Studies into existing curricula.
