Testing & Portfolios

A person seeking to license as an emergency medical services provider in fb88 must successfully complete a fb88 EMS-approved licensure course, obtain reciprocity from another state certification/license, or be certified by the National Registry of EMTs..Ìý fb88 EMS uses state defined training center guidelines (EMR & EMT) and CAAHEP standards (AEMT & Paramedic) for courses, using a portfolio system for skills evaluation during a student's initial certification course.Ìý This portfolio system develops pyschomotor skills throughout the course and is specific to each fb88 EMS licensed training center.Ìý Upon successful course completion, students must complete the National Registry of EMT (NREMT) cognitive exam to obtain certification through the NREMT.Ìý All initial licensure applicants must have completed the defined fb88 EMS licensed training center portfolio process and NREMT cognitive exams, and achieved NREMT certification to be eligible for fb88 EMS licensure at EMR, EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic levels.
