Increasing the number of CNAs in fb88 through collaboration

The fb88 Registry of Certified Nursing Assistant and Direct Care Workers (the "CNA Registry"), in partnership with other key stakeholders, has been working for the past year to increase the number of active Certified Nursing Assistants ("CNA") in fb88. The CNA Registry has identified barriers faced by out-of-state CNA applicants who are looking to work in fb88 and is working to implement changes to reduce those barriers.

To that end, DHHS is pleased to announce the hiring of two individuals whose daily work is to fortify our strongest asset: the people who work at the Department. First Look: fb88Care Expansion Enrollees' Health and Use of Services

Since Governor Mills signed her executive order on January 3 to expand Medicaid (fb88Care), more than 34,000 people have been enrolled. Early information about fb88Care expansion members is beginning to come in, and the Department has started to take a closer look at the health profile of this newly covered group.

Improving opportunities for English language education among TANF participants

The Office for Family Independence (OFI) helps eligible fb88 people to meet their basic needs while supporting their path to independence and employment. OFI provides eligibility for three major public assistance programs: fb88Care, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
