As we live in an increasingly technological world, we are faced with complex decisions around our identity, livelihoods,Ìýand social well-being. Navigating this environment andÌýunderstanding the risks we expose ourselves and others toÌýon a regular basis can be important to living our lives. The landscape asks us to balance risks with opportunities, both personally and professionally.

What is Cyber Security? Cyber Security, for our purposes, centers around being safe online.ÌýEvery time we go online there is information being created aboutÌýwhere we are, what we look at, who we talk to and what we buy. It isÌýimportant to understand what it means to be online so we can navigateÌýit while keeping those close to us, and ourselves, safe.Ìý

Explore the MOdules

Elementary (PK-5)

Ìý

In the earliest grades, students will be asked the question: What is theÌýinternet andÌýhow can weÌýnavigate itÌýsafely? This will allow them to explore how to use the internet safely and independently. Have fun and exploreÌý

Grades 3-5

Grades 3-5 will answer the question:ÌýWhat happensÌýto theÌýinformation weÌýlook at andÌýleave behind? Students will explore the meaning of Legacy, introduce themselves to being safe with Social Media, and understanding that what gets put on the internet doesn't leave. Learn to be independent online withÌý

Secondary (6-12)Ìý

Grades 6-12

Middle and High Schoolers will explore the ethics of being in Social Media and other online communities, as well as looking into the Ethics of Hacking and how to make a career out of it. Start withÌýÌýÌýto talk about the ethics of Hacking and what careers you might find. Or check outÌýÌýÌýif you want to see how to have fun and navigate different online communities withinÌývarying Social Media platforms.Ìý

Grades 9-12

Coming Soon!Ìý High Schoolers looking at fields in IT will be able to explore how to keep whole communities safe. This Module is currently under construction.Ìý

Students in high school create their own data content with purpose and clarity, deciding how to represent conclusions for the greatest impact on their chosen audience.
