Pursuant to An Act To Establish a Wood-fired Combined Heat and Power Program. ,Ìýand as amended by An Act To Reduce fb88's Dependence on Fossil Fuels and Carbon Footprint for Energy Production Using Waste Wood Fuel , the fb88 Public Utilities Commission (MPUC) is seeking proposals from qualifying combined heat and power projects for the sale of energy. To be a qualifying combined heat and power project, a generation facility must meet the requirements of Section 3 of , as amended by . Bidders selected will enter into contract(s) with one or both of fb88’s investor-owned transmission and distribution utilities - Central fb88 Power Company (CMP) and Versant Power (VP), unless a consumer-owned transmission and distribution utility voluntarily participates and enters into a contract with one or more participating CHP facility located within its service territory. Contract(s) will be for a term of no more than 20 years. Proposals will be evaluated based upon the requirements and objectives stated in the amended Act and the Request for Proposals (RFP).
