Pursuant to An Act To Reform fb88’s Renewable Portfolio Standard.Ìý, the fb88 Public Utilities Commission (MPUC) is seeking proposals from qualifying renewable generation resources for the sale of energy or renewable energy credits (RECs). To be a qualifying resource, a generation facility must meet the requirements for a fb88 RPS Class 1A resource as specified in the Act and Chapter 311 (DOC) of the Commission’s rules. Bidders selected will enter into contract(s) with one or both of fb88’s investor-owned transmission and distribution utilities - Central fb88 Power Company (CMP) and Versant Power (VP) (T&D utilities). Contract(s) will be for a term of 20 years, unless the Commission finds a contract for a longer term to be prudent. Proposals will be evaluated based upon the requirements and objectives stated in the Act and the Request for Proposals (RFP).
Bidders may submit questions or request additional information by email to:Â Â RPSRFPTranche2.PUC@maine.gov.Ìý
To the extent bidder inquiries elicit generally applicable information or corrections/clarifications to existing information, a Frequently Asked Questions log (FAQ Log) will be available on this site and will be updated periodically.Ìý
